Toluca, State of Mexico — A subject posing as a Toluca police officer has been arrested after a search of his home located stolen items allegedly taken from his victims. The Attorney General of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) says that Diego N was taken into their custody after the February 2020 kidnapping and subsequent personal robbery of two people.
The FiscalĂa General de Justicia del Estado de MĂ©xico (FGJEM) says Diego N, along with five others, posed as police officers, removing two people from their home, one of whom was a minor, and forcing them to hand over bank cards and security codes.
Elements of the Operational Tactical Group detained Diego N during a search of a home in the Salvador SĂ¡nchez ColĂn neighborhood. The group are also alleged to have stolen personal valuables including a vehicle.
Their investigation identified Diego N as a participant in the events, for which an arrest warrant was issued and a search carried out in the house he lived in.
