Cancun, Q.R. — A woman died Tuesday morning on a Cancun roadway after being hit by a car. The tragic accident happened around 7:50 a.m. on Chac Mool Avenue where the now deceased was hit by a white Jetta car being driven by 25-year-old Alexandra N from Tabasco.
Transit Police indicated that the driver flipped over his own vehicle after hitting the woman, who was walking along the road. The impact of hitting the pedestrian caused the young driver to lose control, rolling his car, which landed on its roof in roadway brush.
The identify of the deceased woman has not been released.
