Cancun, Q.R. — The National Weather Service is calling for a continuation of hot weather for Cancun and the entire Yucatan Peninsula.
There is a weak system located along the southern portion of the Gulf of Mexico that is driving moderate moisture from the Caribbean Sea to the Yucatan Peninsula.
This system is the cause of the hot, cloudy days the area continues to experience. There is the possibility of scattered or isolated showers for the state of Quintana Roo.
According to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, there is a tropical wave slowly moving west / northwest along the Yucatan Peninsula. This wave is influencing weather conditions along the Peninsula however, there are no favorable conditions for the development of a tropical system.
BENITO JUÁREZ – Cloudy, scattered showers with occasional showers, hot, east and southeast wind 15 to 25 mph with occasional gusts of 45 kph.
COZUMEL – Cloudy to partly cloudy with scattered showers, hot, east and northeast wind 15 to 25 mph with occasional gusts of 45 kph.
SOLIDARIDAD – Partly cloudy to overcast with occasional scattered rain showers, hot, east and northeast wind 15 to 25 mph with occasional gusts of 45 kph.
TULUM – Partly cloudy to overcast with occasional scattered showers accompanied by isolated showers, warm, east and northeast wind 15 to 25 mph electrical activity, with occasional gusts of 45 kph.
