Cancun, Q.R. — American entertainment company Warner Bros. will be on hand in Cancun for the city’s next annual beach clean.
The company says that due to the success of the beach cleaning program for the city, they will be at Playa Delfines next week to record the event and use it as a premier video to the opening of the movie, Aquaman.
After seeing the work by 4Ocean, the entertainment company had a rapprochement with the representatives of 4Ocean and agreed to make the documentary which will be screened in December in movie theaters.
Karla Munguía Colmenero, representative of 4Ocean reported that it was a result of beach cleanups in Playa Gaviotas and Punta Esmeralda in Playa del Carmen that caught the attention of the American entertainment company.
Munguía Colmenero of 4Ocean said the next beach clean will be on November 18 at 10:00 a.m. adding that in every beach clean they find mostly cigarette butts which are known to contaminate thousands of liters of water. Other common beach garbage includes plastic bottles, cans, diapers and appliances.
“Thanks to our volunteers they do everything possible, but cleaning the beach is not the solution. The goal is to change the habits of people,” he said.
Warner Brothers will preview the beach cleaning video in more than 3,000 theaters to raise awareness.
