U.S. extradites Mexican national from South Carolina wanted for 2013 murder

Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas — A Mexican man wanted in a Guanajuato court on murder charges has been extradited from the U.S. On Sunday, the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) reported on the extradition of Ubaldo “S” from South Carolina to the Laredo, Texas bridge where Mexican authorities were waiting.

According to the FGR, Ubaldo “S” was wanted in an Acámbaro, Guanajuato court for his involvement in the September 2013 murder of a man. The FGR did not provide details of the 2013 murder, but did say that the unidentified man was shot to death in Jerécuaro, Guanajuato.

On October 2, the FGR reported that the Government of the United States granted his extradition to the Government of Mexico after being arrested in February of this year in the U.S. state of South Carolina.

Ubaldo “S” was handed over to Mexican authorities at the Lardo, Texas bridge that connects with the Mexican city of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
