Two more gang members arrested in Cancun

Cancun, Q.R. — Four people were arrested in the Cancun Hotel Zone Tuesday after an emergency call of people carrying firearms.

On Tuesday afternoon, police received an emergency 911 call about seven individuals seen at Mocambo restaurant carrying weapons. Police arrived at the restaurant to find that there were no weapons on the seven men, however, they did detect the smell of cannabis on four of them.

Those four individuals were arrested. Police say they are related to organized crime. Two of the arrested men have criminal records and belong to Los Zetas and Cartel de Cancún.

The arrested ranged in age from 23 to 32 of which only one was from the area.
