Two men arrested for robbing store as police happened by

Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Two men have been arrested in the town of Puerto Morelos after police happened by a local convenience store and noticed the men robbing the shop.

A police cruiser that just happened to pass by an OXXO in the area of Villas Morelos II saw two men inside the store, one wielding a knife and the other a machete. They entered the store and arrested the two men who were in the process of robbing the cashier of money and store of products.

When police entered the shop, they ordered the pair to drop their weapons, which they did. The detainees were identified as Guadalupe RG and Carlos M. de la C. Police confiscated cash and stolen products off the two would-be thieves.

Police also confiscated their getaway vehicle, which the OXXO teller identified as the vehicle in which the two arrived. The vehicle, a truck, was left running in the parking lot.
