Two city officials suspended for office sex

Morelos, Mexico — Two city officials have been suspended by the mayor of Axochiapan, in the state of Morelos for what he says were sex offenses.

The mayor of the municipality of Axochiapan (Morelos) Edgar José Muñoz Sanabria reported the suspension of two of his workers after a sexual video was recorded from inside an office at city hall.

Ramón Morales Diaz, director of Agricultural Development and a woman identified only as an employee of the municipality, were videoed by two other workers making sexual contact inside the city hall building. The video was then published and broadcast through social networks.

Both pubic servants were suspended from the office after a legal analysis of the video. The mayor says that “at the end of the day, that is something that points at us, at all of us who work here,” in regard to the image both officials gave, both personally and professionally.

Edgar José Muñoz Sanabria has not set a position on the matter, nor is it known whether there will be sanctions against the employees and officials involved.

The video was recorded when the council was out on a tour with state and federal authorities inaugurating a new hospital.
