Two bagged bodies found in Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The bagged bodies of two people have been found in a Playa del Carmen residential area, making it the second time in less than 24 hours.

Police report two bound bodies were discovered in garbage bags in the Ejidal neighborhood of Playa del Carmen. The bodies were found in the early hours of Friday, less than 24 hours after the discovery of two other people were also found discarded in black garbage bags in the city.

Reports say a passerby saw the bags and called Emergency 911 around 2:00 a.m. The two bags were discovered Avenue 95 between 24th and 26th streets of Colonia Ejidal. Police arrived and confirmed the bags contained human remains.

On Thursday morning, two other bags containing bodies were found on a dirt road around 70th Avenue in the same Colonia Ejidal.

Police are investigating. No information has been released as to the possible identity or sex of the victims.
