Two arrested in Cancun for sexual trafficking of a teen

Cancun, Q.R. — Two men have been arrested for the sexual trafficking of a teenage girl in Cancun.

In a press release, La Fiscalía General del Estado reports two men have been taken into custody for the crime of trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

The two subjects were detained aboard a taxi in the Villas Otoch subdivision with the girl on board, which caught the attention of state police who when questioning the teen, learned that she was forced to offer sexual services for 1,800 peso.

Police say they have arrested Eduardo N and Saúl Eduardo N for the crimes of sexual trafficking against a victim of a reserved identity.

They were referred to the public prosecutor for legal processing.
