Three shot, killed in back yard of Cancun home

Cancun, Q.R. — The bodies of three men were located at a house in Cancun on Monday. Police were called to the home in Region 221 at 2:37 p.m. near the intersection of Chac Mool and Niños Héroes avenues.

When they arrived, they discovered the bodies of three deceased men, two of whom were located near each other in the back yard, while the third was found a few meters away in undergrowth.

Municipal Police arrived and cordoned off the area to prevent people from entering and contaminating the scene. The Red Cross also arrived to confirmed that the three men no longer had vital signs.

Witnesses say that several people with long weapons entered the home, which is when they heard a burst of gun shots before the assailants fled in a white van on Chac Mool Avenue.

The deceased have been identified as Francisco N, Orlando N and Christian N. One of the three, Christian N, was apparently the target of a shooting less than three weeks before. One of the other victims is reported to have been a taxi driver.
