Three operations see 11 more removed from Tulum streets

Tulum, Q.R. — In a 24-hour period, 11 more people were arrested from Tulum streets on drug charges. Police in Tulum continue to rid streets of narcotics and those who sell them.

The arrests were made over the weekend by elements of the Tulum Citizen Security and Protection Directorate. All 11 were jailed in three operations that, according to authorities, dampens the distribution of narcotics.

Those taken into custody on drug charges range in age from 18 to 44 and were from the states of Chihuahua, Campeche, Chiapas, Guerrero, Quintana Roo, Veracruz, State of Mexico and Querétaro.

With their arrests, more than 500 street ready bags of various drugs were seized, a majority of which, were reported to be marijuana and powdered cocaine.
