Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Three bagged bodies were found Thursday afternoon on a dirt road located on the Ruta de los Cenotes at Puerto Morelos.
It was around noon when security agencies received the report of the discovery of human remains on a road known as Hueso Blanco along the Ruta de los Cenotes. A 54-year-old nearby resident made the discovery.
Authorities arrived on scene and verified that the three black bags did contain human remains, which they say, were left on the side of the dirt road. The find was headed by municipal police Julián Koh.
Reports say the bodies were those of two men and one woman. The bags were found approximately four meters off the road in underbrush. They were wrapped in tape. Police did not report finding any shell casings at the scene.
Police cordoned off the area while experts from the State Attorney General’s Office arrived to begin investigating. The bodies were taken to the Forensic Medical Service.
