Cancun, Q.R. — Sun Country Airlines has announced the addition of a new seasonal nonstop air route between Austin and Cancun and in celebration of their expansion, is offering $299 USD round-trip flights.
The company says that the new nonstop route between Austin and Cancun has been created to meet the growing demand of passengers between the two destinations for the upcoming summer vacation season.
Through a statement, the airline said that the new route between the international airports of Austin-Bergstrom and Cancun will begin June 15 and run until August 13 of this summer. The airline says they will operate the new nonstop route three times per week, Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Lizzie Cole, General Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Cancun says, “We are excited about the opening of this new route that will increase the influx of tourism from Texas during the next season of summer travel and provide Sun Country passengers with the opportunity to meet and enjoy the experiences and attractions offered by Cancun and the destinations of the Mexican Caribbean.”
To celebrate the new service between the Texan capital and the Cancun International Airport in the Mexican Caribbean, the low cost US airline is offering round-trip introductory fares from $299 USD.

The airline also offers convenient non-stop service to and from Austin and Minneapolis / St. Paul, as well as from Cancun and Minneapolis / St. Paul and Dallas / Fort Worth.
