Cancun, Q.R. — Staff of the Information Analysis Unit of the Public Security Secretariat have headed to the United States to receive specialized training.
The training is part of the Mérida Initiative professionalization program on data processing, evidence and information. Officers were sent on the training session following an invitation from the Anti-Narcotic Affairs and Law Enforcement Section of the US Embassy in Mexico City.
Officers attending the session are being trained on how to professionally and expertly deal with the processing of data, evidence and other information related to crimes and crime scenes.
The four-day session is part of training strategies of the Public Security Secretariat headed by Rodolfo del Angel Campos, who says it’s important to have police better prepared, something that will benefit the state.
