SSP signs agreement with Solidaridad to regularize private security companies

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The Secretariat of Public Security of Quintana Roo (SSP) has signed a coordination and institutional collaboration agreement with the municipality of Solidaridad for the regularization and registration of private security companies.

Since the beginning of the administration of Governor Carlos Joaquín, efforts have been made to recover the confidence of citizens in the security forces and to guarantee the protection of the people.

With the signing of the agreement, through coordination with the different instances of the City Council, it will be possible, through the control, investigation and supervision of private security companies that operate in Solidaridad, to reduce the number of those that do so irregularly.

The Secretary of Public Security of the state of Quintana Roo has been working in an articulated manner with the Solidaridad City Council.

Lucio Hernández Gutiérrez, the Secretary of Public Security of Quintana Roo, recognized the ongoing will of Mayor Lili Campos and her council to regulate private security service providers in a timely and efficient manner in order to prevent the commission of crimes.
