Speed takes three young lives in Cancun car accident

Cancun, Q.R. — Three people were killed over the weekend in a car accident in Cancun when the driver overturned the car he was driving.

Police attended to a horrific accident in a residential area of Cancun where three young men were killed and another injured. Emergency 911 took the report of a car accident around 3:00 a.m. at Arco Vial near Costa Maya avenue in region 247.

The emergency call was made by passing motorists. When police arrived, they taped off the area and requested a rescue team noting that people were trapped inside the vehicle.

Preliminary reports say the driver was speeding when he came to a corner in the roadway. Between the wet pavement and speed, the car flipped several times and landed on its roof along the side of the road.

Emergency services arrived and pronounced three males decease who have been identified as 20-year-old M.M.P., 20-year-old A.A.M.R and 21-year-old J.M.R.

The sole survivor was a 19-year-old male who was taken to hospital. There is no word on his condition.
