Sharp turn in Tulum causes trailer to buckle

Tulum, Q.R. — A trailer carrying a load of sand buckled and nearly split into two when the driver attempted to make a sharp right turn.

The incident happened on Sagitario Poniente Street with Luna Norte in Colonia Centro around 10:00 a.m., completely blocking intersection traffic.

Traffic agents were on hand to redirect vehicles while other agents dealt with the sandy mishap. The unit, which was driven by 32-year-old Rigoberto Ortega Ledesma from Tlaxcala, kept traffic tied up for hour-and-a-half before the mess was cleared and traffic flow returned to normal.
