Several Institute of Mobility vehicles set ablaze in Cancun

Cancun, Q.R. — Five vehicles were consumed by fire early Saturday morning in what is believed to be an intentionally set blaze.

The five vehicles, which all belonged to Instituto de Movilidad del Estado de Quintana Roo (IMOVEQROO), were found on fire in SM 45 of Cancun Saturday around 3:00 a.m.

Area residents called the blazes into emergency personnel who responded to the call. Several members of the Cancun Fire Department arrived on San Cristóbal de las Casas Avenue to extinguish the burning vehicles.

Preliminary reports say three vehicles were completely consumed by the fire and two others were partially damaged. There was no official word on the cause or possible motivation for the fires. No human injuries were reported.
