Seven returned to Isla Mujeres after engine failure

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Seven people were returned to shore Sunday by elements of the Mexican Navy after requesting help. According to the Secretariat of the Navy Mexico, sport fishing vessel Knot to Worry gave the crew cause to worry after leaving them adrift after experiencing engine failure.

An emergency call for assistance to the naval station of Isla Mujeres saw navy elements set sail in their rescue vessel in search of Knot to Worry. The boat was located 18 nautical miles (approximately 33 kilometers) northeast of Isla Mujeres. The seven onboard were transferred onto the navy vessel, while the defeated private fishing boat was towed behind.
