Cancun, Q.R. — Another tropical storm has its sights set on the coast of Quintana Roo making it the second of the month. Tropical Storm Harvey is expected to make landfall in the region Tuesday, delivering winds and rain.
Tropical Storm Harvey is a low pressure system located about 750 miles east-northeast off the Leeward Islands. The storm continues to show signs of organization with shower and thunderstorm activity.
According to the National Hurricane Center out of Miami, environmental conditions are forecast to become more favorable for some development early next week while the system moves west-northwestward to northwestward at about 20 mph.
The National Meteorological Service of Mexico issues the following intermediate advisory that Harvey will likely make landfall on the coast of Quintana Roo Tuesday, bringing with it winds and 18 mm of rain.
