Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Luis “J”, the second person arrested for the shooting death of a Mamitas Beach Club manager, has been returned to the state of Quintana Roo. On Sunday, police escorted the shackled man back to the state where he will face murder charges.
Luis “J” arrived in the Quintana Roo at 8:15 a.m., according to the FGE. He was flown into Cancun International from Mexico City after being arrested three days before in the city of Veracruz.
“There were some complications yesterday in the transfer, but the accused is already in prison and will be made available to judicial authorities to define his legal situation due to the events that occurred on January 25 in the municipality of Solidaridad,” reported Oscar Montes de Oca, head of the FGE of Quintana Roo.
Luis “J” is the second arrest made in the January shooting. In March, Wilber “U” was arrested for his alleged participation in the deadly shooting that left the beach club manager laying dead on the restaurant’s bathroom floor.
