Regional weather change to rain, electrical activity

Cancun, Q.R. – Regional weather for Cancun and the Riviera Maya will continue to see hot days, but afternoons are likely to change to isolated rain showers, sometimes with thunder and lightening.

Civil Protection is forecasting partly cloudy skies with showers and isolated rain for the Benito Juarez / Solidarity regions. The area will experience hot weather, east and northeast wind 15 to 25 kilometers per hour with occasional gusts of 45.

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) released a statement saying that the tropical wave over the Yucatan Peninsula is entering from the Caribbean Sea and will bring heavy rains to the region.
