Police investigate death of man after allegations of being pushed into elevator void

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Police continue to investigate the death of a man found in a building under construction. The body of an adult male was found inside the unfinished building in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood of Playa del Carmen.

An emergency call reporting his discovery was made to the C5 Centre of Cancun. Police and paramedics responded to the call for assistance.

Preliminary reports say the man, identified as 34-year-old José Alberto N, was pushed into the elevator tunnel void of the under-construction complex during a holiday celebration. He is believed to have fallen from a height of around 10 meters. The body of the man, who is reported to be from the state of Tabasco, was located around 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
