Police in Tabasco discover LP tanks of narcotics bound for Playa del Carmen

Miguel Hidalgo, Tabasco — Three LP gas tanks that was being shipped via a courier company were found loaded with drugs after one of them broke open. The incident happened inside a courier company in Miguel Hidalgo, Tabasco.

Employees were unloading a freight trailer around 10:00 a.m. that had arrived from Querétaro. Three 30-liter LP gas tanks were part of the packages inside the trailer. While being moved, the bottom of one of the tanks broke open, expelling several bundles of narcotics.

Employees notified the manager who reported the finding to police. Elements of the Seguridad Pública y Protección Ciudadana (SSyPC) arrived to investigate all three gas tanks, noting a total of 13 packages of marijuana and cocaine inside.

A further look revealed a return address from Julio César N in Sendero del Despertar in Querétaro with a destination address to Sandy Julissa N in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. Police are investigating.
