Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — An agent of the municipal police was left with a fractured leg after colliding with an SUV while responding to a robbery in Playa del Carmen, however, the culprits were still apprehended.
Despite the collision, colleagues managed to apprehend two people alleged responsible for the robbery. The accident occurred on Colosio Avenue when two policemen were responding to an emergency 911 call.
The police motorcycle collided with a private vehicle at the junction of Montes Azules in the Santa Fe district, but did not overturn. One of the two policemen fractured his leg in the collision and was taken to hospital.
His colleague still managed to arrest the two robbery suspects who were reported to have fled on a motorcycle. The accident has been handed over to the state attorney general’s office for investigation. The two arrested were also handed over to the state attorney.
