Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A young woman who was stopped for driving without plates has been arrested for driving while intoxicated and possession of narcotics. Police in Playa del Carmen pulled the woman over at a police filter along the El Tintal highway after they noticed the approaching car was without license plates.
Once pulled over, police quickly noticed she was impaired. While performing a review of her Volkswagen Beetle, police found five kilos of marijuana and an undisclosed amount of a second unidentified narcotic. Perla N was taken into police custody and the drugs seized. Several empty beer bottles were also removed from her car.
