Permanent security added to Playa del Carmen’s irregular In-House community

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — An increase in police has been assigned for the irregular In-House colony of Playa del Carmen in a bid to combat criminal behavior.

Elements of the Dirección General de Seguridad Pública y Tránsito by Commander Jorge Robles Aguilar, in coordination with la Guardia Nacional, have reinforced visual security actions in the troubled area with on-foot police patrols.

Aside from curbing crime, another goal is to create a positive relationship with those that live in the community. The reinforcement of police presence falls under the municipality’s operation “Pie Tierra de Proximidad Social”, which will allow continual and permanent communication with citizens regarding public safety and crime prevention.

The municipality of Solidaridad says that in addition to the presence of the National Guard, a permanent police presence will exist with unit and motorcycle patrols to deter criminal behavior and maintain peace.
