Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A package of what police say is cocaine, has been found on a beach area of Riviera Maya.
Members of the state police of Playa del Carmen reported finding a package of cocaine Monday on a beach area at kilometer 307 of the federal highway in Riviera Maya.
Staff from the secretariat of national defense accompanied state police in transporting the package from the beach to the office of the attorney general.
The city of Playa del Carmen says police found the package of drugs marked X6 while conducting a surveillance tour of the area.
