Nine found drug dealing at Isla Blanca latest arrests in Safe Beach operation

Cancun, Q,R. — Nine people found with nearly 200 bags of narcotics and a firearm were removed from a beach outside Cancun. On Monday, elements that make up the Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace and Security detained the nine men during a beach operation at Isla Blanca.

The Group of authorities inspected areas of Isla Blanca where they found the nine drug dealing. In a statement, the FGE said 80 bags of marijuana and 90 bags of cocaine were found along with a gun and ammo.

They are the latest arrests in the state’s ongoing beach sweeps to remove illegal activity from public areas. Since they began the program, several people detained on state beaches for drug related offenses have turned out to be involved in local murders.
