While the Patriots are looking to return to the glory they reached a decade ago, and the Seahawks are looking to defend their title as well as be the first team to win back-to-back titles since the Patriots, this year’s Super Bowl has become an incredible match-up.
This year marks the 49th edition of Super Bowl, which is being held on Sunday, February 1 at the University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Arizona.
Qualifying teams include AFC champions New England Patriots and NFC champions Seattle Seahawks. The game will decide the NFL champion for the 2014 season. This year is the 49th edition of Super Bowl and the 45th since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.
Committee organizers expect attendance to be around 90,000 with a $500 million impact. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 MST (6:30 EST) and will be the second Super Bowl played in the University of Phoenix Stadium – the third played in the Phoenix area when Super Bowl XXX was played at Sun Devil Stadium. The game will be broadcast live in the US by NBC.
Super Bowl 2016 will be hosted in Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco.
