Cancun, Q.R. — A new destination by Edelweiss, a Switzerland airline, announced in June of last year its intentions to add regular direct flights to Cancun for 2017.
Beginning April 16, travelers of Edelweiss can enjoy non-stop flights to Cancun. The holiday destination has been added to the airline’s long-haul network for 2017 with Thursday and Sunday flights.
Direct Cancun flights will be offered year round on their refurbished Airbus A340 of 314 seats. “Flights to the popular Mexican beach resort will be operated on Thursdays and Sundays,” the company announced in a press release. “ The Yucatán region offers spectacular nature and some of the Caribbean’s most beautiful white beaches. As well as a relaxing beach holiday, impressive ruins of ancient Mayan cities provide plenty of opportunities to explore Mexico’s fascinating history.”
Edelweiss’s new holiday destinations were available for booking from 29th June 2016 via flyedelweiss.com, swiss.com and the usual sales channels.
The airline also opened up its route to include direct flights to Costa Rica and San Diego.
