New Waldorf Astoria, Hilton hotel announced for Cancun

Cancun, Q.R. — Hilton has announced plans to add a luxury Waldof Astoria Cancun and an all-inclusive Hilton Hotel Cancun resort to their portfolio.

Set to open in 2021, the projects will be developed by Parks Hospitality and will feature distinct characteristics and amenities across their properties.

“With more than half of our Latin America portfolio present in Mexico, we are proud to announce the plans for Waldorf Astoria Cancun and Hilton Cancun as we continue to introduce distinguished properties in the world’s most sought-after destinations,” said Juan Corvinos, vice president, development, Latin America and the Caribbean, Hilton.

“Representing our luxury and upscale brands respectively, Waldorf Astoria Cancun and Hilton Cancun will offer guests a taste of Mexican culture fused with Waldorf Astoria’s uncompromising sophistication and Hilton Hotels and Resort’s flagship hospitality.”

The Waldorf Astoria Cancun is set to feature 150 exceptional guest rooms and suites with waterfont or mangrove-facing terraces with private balconies. The hotel will feature the Waldorf’s signature spa, integrating Mexican healing traditions with native ingredients for indulgent treatments, in addition to state-of-the-art fitness facilities, two plunge pools and two exquisite dining experiences.

The company’s neighboring all-inclusive Hilton Cancun resort property will feature 600 stylish guest rooms offering stunning panoramic views. The Hilton resort will welcome guests to relax on the beach, lounge at the swimming pool complex, and experience curated adventures in local art, gastronomy and culture. The hotel will also tempt palates with six all-inclusive unique culinary experiences.

Expansive meetings and events space across both hotels will be available to accommodate everything from small gatherings to large weddings.

“Through this collaboration, we are excited about expanding our portfolio in Cancun, one of Mexico’s top tourist destinations,” said Charles Elmann Fasja, CEO of Parks Desarrolladora.

“We recognize the tremendous value in working with a respected industry leader such as Hilton and we look forward to building upon this alliance in the future.”

Design firms SB Architects, EDSA and HBA have been hand-selected to create spaces throughout both the Waldorf Astoria Cancun and the Hilton Cancun properties. Both properties will feature classic Mexican colors and materials, as well as modern design elements and technology.

Situated on 100 acres of Caribbean beachfront, the Waldorf Astoria Cancun and neighboring all-inclusive Hilton Cancun will be located near the municipality of Benito Juarez, approximately 10 minutes from Cancun International Airport.
