Cancun, Q.R. — The Tourism Secretariat of the Government of Mexico has released a new Tourist Atlas of Mexico mobile app that includes Cancun and Riviera Maya attractions.
The app will replace traditional printed material and provide visitors with a digital tourist guide instead. National and international visitors can make inquiries from any geographical point in the country to find the attractions and tourism services offered as well as the natural, cultural and archaeological resources.
The mobile app also allows visitors to find information on the main destinations and tourist attractions, including all 111 Magical Towns, heritage sites, cultural and nature tourism, as well as information events.
The device used with the app will automatically identify the geographical location of the visitor also allowing app users to view the information of tourism service providers such as hotels, restaurants, theaters, handicraft houses and art galleries, among others.
In addition in the Tourist Atlas provides useful information such as the location of embassies and consulates, depending on the geographical point of the visitor. The app will find what you’re looking for within a 5 km range of the geographical location.
The Tourist Atlas of Mexico uses Google Maps as a geographic platform with Google search engine, which allows semantic searches, as well as using Path Trace from a point of origin to a specific destination.
The mobile application is available for smartphones and tablets telephone equipment and tablets on iOS and Android and if free to download. Available languages include English, Spanish and French. You can also visit the Tourist Atlas of Mexico online.
