Cancun, Q.R. – Data from Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT) has confirmed that as of January 30 travelers along the Chetumal-Cancun highway around the Felipe Carrillo Puerto area will begin paying tolls.
Highway statistics by the Federal Government report approximately 4,500 compact and cargo vehicles use that section of highway each day.
Aldesa Group, the Spanish company constructing the 111.6 million peso toll booths and new road lanes called Project Bypass, say their intention is to have them up and running by the end of the month.
There is no announcement yet as to how much toll fees may be.
