Tulum, Q.R. — A new police post that will operate 24-hours per day has been installed in the center of Tulum.
The new unit has been put into place to provide better security for the townspeople of Tulum. Romalda Dzul Caamal, municipal president, requested that the mobile unit be in full operation 24-hours per day.
Gabriel González Ornelas, General Director of Public Safety, said that surveillance patrols for the town will be strengthened with the addition of the mobile police unit adding, “There is a commitment to address the most unsafe points.”
This is the second mobile police station for the town, the first being in Maya Pax where, González Ornelas says, crime has already declined.
