Beginning the summer of 2016, the two companies will be offering two-week, all-inclusive packages from the Dublin Airport direct to Cancun, Mexico.
The new charter programme will use Thomson Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which made its official launch in Dublin on Wednesday. Services to Cancun, Mexico will begin on June 13 and will operate a weekly charter for six weeks.
In recent years, Cancun, on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, has become a hot spot with long-haul Irish holidaymakers and is now the most popular long haul destination after Orlando, Florida.
“More Irish people visit Mexico each year than any of their European counterparts, and with the new direct flights we expect this to grow even more,” said Carlos Garcia De Alba, Mexican Ambassador to Ireland, at the launch.
Falcon and Thomson will offer more than 22 hotels choices in Cancun, including its flagship Sensatori and adult-only range, the tour operators said.
In Cancun, all-inclusive packages including flights plus 14 nights at the 4-star Catalonia Riviera Maya start from €1,699 per adult and €979 per child.
The programme is available now for reservations with deposits from €200pp.
