Cancun, Q.R. — The upcoming Xavage park by Experiencias Xcaret is under construction says its general director. With an investment of $25 million USD, the Cancun park will offer visitors a new concept in all-inclusive fun.
Miguel Quintana Pali says that the new park will be the seventh for the company explaining,”We reaffirm ourselves as the most important organization in Mexico dedicated to sustainable tourism recreation.
“In addition, globally we are number one for operating the All Fun Inclusive concept which includes all-inclusive lodging at the Xcaret Mexico Hotel and visits to all the attractions.”
He says the new Xavage park is being built on the same 40-hectares of land the group has next to the Cancun International Airport where Xoximilco is located.
Quintana Pali says that for the new park concept, “There are going to be off-road vehicles that have big tires to climb on the rocks. Rock kramers or monsters trucks, modified trucks with huge wheels and pneumatic suspension.
“Quintana Roo is a state where the land is flat and there are no rivers because the subsoil is permeable and all the rivers are underground. There are no such river trips, but we will have several kilometers of channels that are going to be fast, very exciting with boats.
“We are going to build a mountain. We are going to build a high structure from which water will be pumped. We’re going to have six-600 horsepower pumps to create the flow and effect of a fast whitewater river, like in several other states of the republic.”
“Another attraction is a long, very long bird flight which is hanging from a tube. Instead of a cable it is a tube. Then, one goes turning, going up, down and flying like a bird.
“Those are the adventures of this new park that we hope to inaugurate at the end of 2018, in December before Christmas. ”
The Xcaret general director says that “The budget right now is $25 million USD,” adding that some things are still in the project stage, but that others are already under construction and “very advanced.”
He also said that for the first time they will venture into the neighboring state of the Mayab.
“It’s a park we’re doing in Yucatan near Valladolid, which includes eight very large cenotes, very beautiful. The most beautiful in the state, and they’re all together, very close to each other. It will be called Xibalbá, which means underworld in Mayan. We hope to inaugurate it for the summer of 2020.
The company has also created other park concepts from Cancun to Riviera Maya including Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xenses, Xoximilco, Xenotes and soon-to-be Xavage.
