New 3D museum opens in Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. – A new three-dimensional museum has officially opened in the tourist city of Playa del Carmen.

The museum, which is located in the Pelican Plaza on 10 calle norte, is the city’s first 3D Museum of Wonders. On display are more than 60 pieces of work by artist, Kurt Wenner, who is the inventor of 3D Street Painting and 3D Pavement Art Illusion. He designs architecture, fine art, advertising and publicity images internationally and now has his own 3D art museum in Playa del Carmen.

With five in the world, this 3D museum is unique in creating optical illusions and various other visual effects. Inside are two theaters that offer screenings in 3D as well as numerous pieces of three-dimensional art work. It provides a two-hour interaction with various works by the international artist.

Site manager, Paola Pastrans, said the 3D Museum of Wonders was created with a private investment of one million US. The museum was officially opened on February 12 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included state govenor Roberto Borge Angulo.
