Narcotics dog finds crates of drugs at Cancun airport

Cancún, Q.R. — A large shipment of marijuana has been found hidden in containers at the Cancun International Airport.

Menin, the specialized narcotics dog, helped sniffed out a large shipment of artisan vases that were packed in wooden crates. Airport authorities said that with the support of Menin, their on-site narcotics dogs alerted them to something suspicious.

The large crates were sent for an x-ray scan and once reviewed, they discovered the hidden drugs.

The federal agency made the drugs available to the federal Public Prosecutor for the delegation of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) to carry out the corresponding investigations.

The crates were shipped from Tlaquepaque, Jalisco with a final destination for Cancun. A total of 172 kilograms of marijuana was found stuffed inside vases in the crates.
