Municipal Treasurer says Tulum collected historic tax payments in 2022

Tulum, Q.R. — The Municipal Treasurer of Tulum says the municipality has collected a historic amount of taxes in 2022. Diego Castañón Trejo explained that the municipality of Tulum collected around one billion peso in taxes this year, a historic figure.

He explained that the taxes were collected since Mayor Marciano Dzul Caamal has given results in terms of services and projects for the benefit of Tulum residents.

“The result was given and we are very happy because in this administration, for the first time in this municipality, we reached one billion pesos in collection.

“As we said at the beginning of the administration, the people trust the mayor and the city council not only in words, but based on results and that is what we have been giving in terms of investment in projects, education, health, security, etc.,” he explained.

The official said that this budget for next year has already been approved by the Tulum Cabildo and now he hopes to present it to the XVII Legislature of the Quintana Roo State Congress.
