More than 43 million invested into Puerto Aventuras infrastructure

Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — The municipality of Solidaridad says more than 43 million peso has been invested into improvements for the town of Puerto Aventuras.

The Government of Solidarity has invested more than 43 million peso of municipal resources for public work in Puerto Aventuras with the construction of roads, lighting, public buildings, parks and sport areas.

Work began on the paving, construction of sidewalks, garrisons and placement of street lights in Guayas Street, in which more than 4.1 million peso was invested.

The offices of Commerce, Inspection, Municipal Public Services and Civil Protection were remodeled where necessary to avoid relocation expenses and instead, improve the existing spaces for efficiency.

“We have done the work in Puerto Aventuras that you requested and deserve, and we will continue to strengthen this place so that you feel proud to live here,” said mayor, Cristina Torres Gómez.

She explained that this work is above and beyond other projects such as the new Puerto Aventuras library, the Ecumenical Chapel, Municipal Pantheon, the Sala de Vigil and improvements of parks and other recreational areas.

Rocío Santos Castro of Puerto Aventuras said, “We had insistently requested the placement of street lights, the paving of streets and the construction of decent public spaces for our children. Today we recognize that they have been fulfilled.”

On March 25, the first stones were laid in the construction of a new music school. The School of Music of Puerto Aventuras is an investment of 4.9 million peso.

“Music allows us as human beings to develop our virtues, so it is for this reason we trust that children and seniors will be integrated into this school since there is no age to learn to make music or practice it when spaces are offered for its use,” said the mayor.
