Mexico finally out of the red for Covid-19

Mexico City, Mexico — Dr. Ricardo Cortés Alcalá, Director of Health Promotion says for the second consecutive week, there are no red states in the country. Red, which indicates a maximum risk of contagion, has not been recorded for two weeks.

He reports that for the upcoming week, beginning March 15, Mexico has three green states, which represent a low risk of contagion. The three green states are Sonora, Chiapas and Campeche.

States in yellow, with a moderate risk of contagion, include the 21 states of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Sinaloa, Durango, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Aguascalientes, Michoacán, Guerrero, Tlaxcala, Hidalgo, Veracruz, Quintana Roo, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí and Nuevo León.

Cortés Alcalá points out that several orange states remain, which include Mexico City, State of Mexico, Morelos, Puebla, Querétaro, Oaxaca, Tabasco and Yucatán.
