Mexican navy tow Marycruz and four crew members back to Isla Mujeres

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Four people were rescued adrift Wednesday off the coast of Isla Mujeres after their engine failed. The Secretariat of the Navy reported the Wednesday afternoon rescue approximately seven nautical miles (13 kilometers) northeast of Isla Mujeres.

Navy crew set out to locate the small vessel and its crew of four after receiving an emergency call for help. The boat Marycruz and her four male crew were found and and towed back to the navel dock. The boat and crew members were waited for by personnel from the Harbor Master of Isla Mujeres for the corresponding procedures.
