Cancun, Q.R. — The city of Cancun now has another place for visitors to take a snapshot with the famous Cancun letters.
Cancun mayor, Remberto Estrada Barba, unveiled the new letters for the city which are located outside city hall.
He pointed out that this photographic opportunity joins that of Playa Delfines and will undoubtedly have the same success among tourists who visit the municipality.
“Thanks to the sum of efforts among entrepreneurs, hoteliers, service providers and the three levels of government, tourism continues its growth dynamics and the achievements exceed expectations.”
In the first half of 2018, the Cancun International Airport received nearly nine million international passengers, exceeding that of Mexico City by more than 700,000 foreign travelers. Cancun is a safe destination and all the security implementations are giving positive results, he said.
Remberto Estrada said that the city’s perception has been improved but the important thing, he said, was to show the work was done, and from that there are positive results in which tourism continues to grow day by day.
“We are going to ensure Cancun is one of the most important destinations in Mexico and the world.”
