Marley Coffee opens Jamaican shop in Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Rhonan Marley, the son of Caribbean music legend Bob Marley, has opened a coffee shop in the center of Playa del Carmen offering visitors Caribbean music and Jamaican coffee.

Marley Coffee was inaugurated recently by Rohan Marley who was on hand to see the doors open. Located downtown along the city’s popular 10th Avenue, the coffee stop is the latest addition to a range of new eateries. Aside from specialty coffee, Marley Coffee offers a menu of pastry, artisan bakery and house specials.

During a local media presentation Marley said, “I feel excellent for this opening, to share with the people who really appreciate it because the intention from the beginning was to create a place that people would love very much.

“I am really happy to come to Mexico to share the Rastafarian love.”

For the inauguration, numerous local tourism officials were also on hand to help welcome the new brand to the city.

Rohnan Marley is also owner of Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee company, which is used in his Playa del Carmen Marley Coffee shop.
