Man, woman given extensive life sentences for Cancun murder

Cancun, Q.R. — Two people have been handed extensive life sentences after being found guilty of a murder that took place in the Cancun Hotel Zone.

The Attorney General of the State reported that a man and a woman have been given extensive prison sentences for their participation in the gruesome death of a woman in October of 2017 who was stabbed several dozen times.

The attorney general says that the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Attention to Crimes against Women found the pair responsible for the crime of feminicide. According to a statement, prosecutors were successful in seeing Ricardo Flores sentenced to 50 years in prison, while María Calderón was given 37.

The court found the accused responsible for the events that occurred in October 2017, when the body of a woman was found at Playa Langosta in the Cancun Hotel Zone. According to the autopsy, the woman had been stabbed more than 40 times.
