Cancun, Q.R. — An employee inside a bar at the Plaza de Toros in Cancun was reported shot early Tuesday morning.
The emergency call came in around 1:30 a.m. with reports of gunfire inside a bar. Witnesses reported hearing four shots inside Psicodelia in Supermanzana 4 of the city’s center. Police arrived to find a man had been shot and suffering firearm injuries.
Red Cross paramedics arrived to transfer the injured man to the hospital who was reported to have suffered two bullet wounds.
Ballistic experts arrived at the site along with municipal authorities to carry out the corresponding investigations, saying that six casings were lifted from the scene.
A police operation was implemented in the area to find the alleged perpetrators. The identity of the victim is a 40-year-old male of Honduran decent with the name Carmino S.G.
There have been no updates about the shooting or the health condition of the victim.
