Cancun, Q.R. — A man with a long-standing international arrest warrant for fraud has been arrested in Cancun.
The Attorney General’s Office has reported the arrest of Mexican national Erik N, who was wanted internationally for crimes of generic fraud. With his named Red listed with Interpol, the National Migration Institute (INM) learned that he was arriving in Cancun from Houston, Texas.
He was met by authorities from the Criminal Investigation Agency and arrested without incident.
According to information from the Attorney General, officials were given a migratory alert of his arrival at the Cancun International Airport. He was carrying a US passport.
Erick “N” had an arrest warrant issued by the Twelfth Criminal Court of Mexico City. He was handed over to personnel of the Attorney General’s Office for Mexico City (PGJ-CDMX). He will be transferred and presented before authorities.
