Cancun, Q.R. — A man found murdered in his home Monday is said to be that of a well-known Cancun school teacher.
On Monday morning, a man was discovered murdered in his home in Region 91. The body was found by his brother. An emergency call for help was made at 9:30 a.m. When police arrived, they found an adult male bound at hands and feet in a bedroom of the home.
The Attorney General’s Office says the body was found bound with severe blows to the face allegedly caused by a metallic hammer-like tool.
The man, who has been identified only as W.R.C.N., is reported to have been a primary school supervisor in school zone 25 of Cancun. Neighbors say he was referred to as El Maestro.
A cause or possible suspects has not been released.
